Concern over drawing of cables

KOZHIKODE: Haphazard drawing of cable lines by private telephone and cable-service providers poses a threat to pedestrians and two-wheeler riders, and the city Corporation must curb uncontrolled activity of such agencies, the Rockway Residents’ Association at Thondayad has said.
The association, at its second annual meeting held here recently, flayed private telephone and cable-service providers drawing cables in a haphazard manner on Kerala State Electricity Board posts.
Often, these cables are broken or loose, posing a threat to pedestrians and two-wheeler riders.
